In Santa Cruz Laura took a job at the paint-your-own pottery shop. This bowl contains the Flying Nun logo — a New Zealand record label that carried some of the country’s great bands during the heyday of kiwi indie pop music, which was happening while we were in New Zealand in the early 90s.

    The paint-your-own pottery place was called “Petroglyph”.

    Yup. The Santa Cruz flagship shop is still there and still owned by Jen and Michael.
