In the early 90s Laura collected a lot of these mola patterns. A few days ago I found a notebook of “Design / Motif Ideas” that included notes on her projects. The final table, shown here, is in our living room. A diabalito lotteria card in the middle was mostly ripped off by one of the girls.

very cool! i knew she took design seriously but never knew she was deliberate enough about it to keep notebooks full of ideas. excellent glimpse into a one of a kind mind. thanks dave

David – not sure you knew, but I received the first side table (the pink one with the aztec pattern) from Laura as a wedding present. Just so you know where its current home is.
