We had a black bear pull down the cherry tree in our front yard recently. But that’s nothing compared to what grizzlies can do. I did put the word “whimsy” in the title of this blog — because, um, I was looking for another short “w” word that wasn’t a downer. So, without further ado.

David, Donna from AR here, we too have a problem with black bear. We see them all the time. I saw one at the end of our drive a few months ago. Robin and I saw one down the road from our house running across a corn field and one ran across the road in front of my car in about the same spot. Our guys see them all the time while in the fields. Lady down the road had a young cub climb a tree in her yard. A few years back a bobcat ran across my driveway from a corn field into my backyard while I was cleaning out my car under the carport. We have our own little zoo, in our neck of the woods. Tell your girls hello and that all your kinfolks in Ragtown wish you well. Love, Donna C.

How can the bear dung have “little bells” in it? What does that mean? Do they chime?
