Bottom left gallery scene was one of Laura’s favorite shots (over-exposed on the proof).
Here are also the first of two sheets of the Terraplanes — a band at W&M. Probably the best group in Williamsburg at the time. Mike Kasenter and Jeff ? are playing. I can’t remember the drummer. I’m pretty sure that’s Bill Leigh dancing in the middle.

This site is dedicated to the memory of Laura and is now mostly an archive of her 15-month struggle with cancer as told by her husband David and other family. A brief background of her case is found in the About section. Family photos dating back five years can be found in the main photos section. There are two slideshow retrospectives of Laura throughout her life. A collaborative tribute effort is woefully incomplete and I encourage your help.

Jeff Olson, I think his name was. They were good. Somewhere, I still have one of their cassettes.

Definitely Bill Leigh in the middle there.
Drummer’s name was Matt, oft called Chimpy back then.
The smoker next to Laura’s favorite picture couldn’t possibly be Jonathan Newton, could it?
David, I know it’s late, and pretty much out of nowhere, but my deep condolences. I’ve spent much time on this site the last few days; I am amazed anew by Laura’s creativity and humor. I wish you and your beautiful children happiness and peace.
